Black Lives Matter. Recent events have caused many companies and individuals to assert this mantra to varying levels of commitment. The Green Solution’s commitment to supporting the movement is demonstrated by our donation to support the fight against racial injustice.

The Green Solution has donated $5,000 to theLast Prisoner Project, a nonprofit coalition of cannabis industry leaders, executives and artists dedicated to bringing restorative justice to the cannabis industry. As the United States moves away from the criminalization of cannabis, giving rise to a major new industry, there remains the fundamental injustice inflicted upon those who have suffered criminal convictions and the consequences of those convictions. A 2020 analysis by the American Civil Liberties Union found that black people are 3.64 times more likely than white people to be arrested for cannabis possession. We join the Last Prisoner Project activists dedicated to freeing cannabis prisoners through clemency and expungement. Through intervention, advocacy and awareness campaigns, the forces behind the Last Prisoner Project work to redress the past and continuing harms of these unjust laws and policies, dedicated to making sure that every last victimless cannabis prisoner walks free.

We encourage you to join us in supporting the Last Prisoner Project and the fight against racial disparity in cannabis arrests. We also invite you to visit to support cannabis reform including legalization, decriminalization and expungement efforts in specific states, and federally.
